Programs and Services

Serene Harbor has truly evolved into a one-stop-shop including a 24/7 hotline service, Address Confidentiality Program, Emergency Shelter for women, children, and pets, Adult and Child Counseling and Case Management, transportation, assistance with the Victim’s Compensation Program, employment assistance through the S.H.E. Employment Program, educational opportunities through the S.H.E. Education Program, Injunction for Protection Attorney services, Child Protection Investigating Advocacy and support groups to list a few.

We have had the pleasure of partnering with local schools, businesses, law enforcement, and everyday citizens wanting to support Serene Harbor’s mission. Most people don’t know that one of our most valuable services is our Outreach Program.

Beyond a survivor's need for shelter, Serene Harbor assists at every step of their journey. This includes the same services listed above, apart from the shelter. These services can be utilized by those transitioning out of the shelter and those who are still residing in their current situation.

Survivors are considered forever-family members and have indefinite access to all of our outreach services.

The Injunction for Protection Project (IFP) at Serene Harbor employs one Florida Bar-licensed attorney who provides free legal advice and/or representation to survivors of domestic, dating, and sexual violence as well as stalking.  IFP legal representation depends on the survivor's eligibility, and an initial conflict check will be completed upon receipt of the referral to ensure no legal conflicts of interest before proceeding to the in-take interview stage.
